BREAST CANCER CAN BE EXPENSIVE. WE'RE HERE TO HELP.
Our nonprofit organization provides funding for health and physical resources, enabling us to connect survivors and thrivers with a full-spectrum support program that focuses on improving their quality of life and outcomes.
Our efforts are centered around health, fitness, and community; all of which play a vital role in empowering those who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis.
We provide grants to both individuals and health & wellness professionals.
C4C Fund Overview
The Compete for a Cure Fund provides one-time grants to help ease the financial burden of breast cancer. These grants are distributed to help breast cancer survivors pay health & wellness expenses such as gym memberships, nutrition coach, mental health, etc. Grant amounts range from $100 - $1,000 depending on need.
In order to best serve the Global Breast Cancer Community, we are focused on funding all those who have been affected by breast cancer. If you need financial support, please visit the Compete for a Cure Fund page and apply.
General

Grants range from $100 - $1,250 based on individual and business applications and as funding allows.
This is a one-time grant and can only be awarded to people who have not received a grant through Compete for a Cure in the past.

The grant can only be used for health and wellness for individuals and/or businesses.
Grants cannot be used to cover medical expenses, personal loans, or credit cards.
We make every effort to process applications within 3-5 weeks of submission.

This is a one-time financial assistance program for breast cancer survivors, gym owners, and/or coaches.
These funds are to help empower, educate, and support those affected by breast cancer.
Applicants can apply regardless of their date of diagnosis or treatment plan.
Gym Owners/Coaches* You will be required to explain how the grant will be utilized in helping breast cancer survivors in your community. -
Prepare in advance a detailed description of how you will utilize this grant, your financial needs, and a full program and plan. The more details the better.

Before you apply, please review the information on this page to be sure you understand the program and to understand what you are eligible for.
The application can only be seen and completed online when we are able to accept new applications. The application cannot be downloaded, printed, or mailed.
We recommend applying on a computer or tablet; cell phone is not recommended.
Due to the volume of requests we receive, C4C staff are not able to help you complete the application form.
When you apply, be prepared to provide the following types of information:
Your name, address, email address, date of birth and other required personal information.
Information about your breast cancer: when you were diagnosed, breast cancer type and stage (for example, stage II ER/PR-positive or hormone-receptor positive breast cancer), and any treatment plans.
A short statement about how breast cancer has affected your/your family’s financial situation.
Your cancer center/hospital name and your healthcare provider’s name, title/role and contact information.
Your health and/or wellness coach info, address, and email for follow ups.Submit your monthly membership fees if applicable.
Include how they are helping you during your treatment. If they need help in any way, please add that in so we can provide resources if needed.We receive a very high volume of applications each month and quickly exceed our maximum number. We encourage applicants to:
Complete and submit your application as quickly as possible. It should take you approximately 15-20 minutes.
Once you submit your application you will see a screen thanking you for completing it. There are no other steps for you to take at this time.
Please submit only one application.
You do not need to submit bills or any other type of documents during the application process.

You will receive an email from C4C notifying you of the grant approval.
Email is our primary means of communication about applications and grants. Please be sure to check your inbox and junk/spam folders for communications from Compete for a Cure
Checks are mailed from our office approximately 30 days from your grant application date.
If we do not receive a response from you, this can result in the grant being deactivated. You will not be able to reapply.

Yes, absolutely. We have fundraising and donors happening across the globe. If funds aren’t available in your region, we will inform you once we receive your application. The application will stay on file and once funds are available in your region, we will contact you.

Our Compete for a Cure Fund is not an emergency fund and cannot provide immediate assistance. The availability of grants varies according to funding and the number of applications received. Please see your social worker or patient navigator for immediate help if needed.
Who to contact for financial assistance
If you need financial support, your cancer center likely has a number of people available to help you find programs and services. People who can help are:
Doctors and nurses on your care team
Social workers and nurse navigators at your cancer center
Hospital discharge planners
Patient services offices at your cancer center or hospital
Financial assistance offices as your hospital
Outside of your cancer center or hospital, you can speak with:
Financial planners
State insurance agencies
Your health insurance company
Government assistance offices
At Compete for a Cure and include the Compete for a Cure Fund (C4C Fund), safeguarding the privacy of personal information for all our constituents, including applicants, donors, health care professionals, and stakeholders, is of utmost importance to us.
We have implemented comprehensive measures to ensure that our privacy policy aligns with internationally recognized privacy principles governing the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your personal health information, whether in paper or electronic format.
As part of our commitment to privacy, the C4C Fund complies with all the requirements outlined in the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA)
